Colts’ Joe Flacco, who won the Comeback Player of the Year award last season, admits Browns never made him an offer
The Cleveland Browns decided not to offer veteran quarterback Joe Flacco a contract extension in the 2024 NFL off-season.

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Joe Flacco made a shocking revelation yesterday, revealing that the Cleveland Browns didn’t approach him for a contract extension. Flacco moved to the Colts in the offseason to join the sixth team in his fifteen years in the National Football League.
The Indianapolis Colts cruised to a second straight win with a 27-24 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers at Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday. Although Anthony Richardson started the game, 2023 Comeback Player of the Year Flacco stepped in after Richardson left the game due to injury.
Midway through the first quarter, Richardson after being tackled by Pittsburgh safeties Deshon Elliott and Minkah Fitzpatrick on a 14-yard run. Although the second-year quarterback returned to the field, he pulled up during another run and ruled himself out with a hip injury.
Flacco, the 2023 NFL Comeback Player of the Year, completed 16-of-26 passes for 168 yards, throwing two touchdowns with no interceptions. The Colts signed Flacco for $8.37, a year this off-season.
Speaking with Mike Florio, Flacco noted that he would like to continue playing for the Colts for a very long time. As the Browns focused more attention on others and scrambled to pay on Flacco, he secured a $8.7m a year contract with the Colts.
The 39-year-old New Jerseyan cited two reasons for the Colts after the stint with Cleveland Brown. Firstly, He had a good time Colts HC Shane Steichen in Philadelphia. Secondly and more importantly, Flacco said that there were no calls and no phones going off the hook.

Joe Flacco, a Super Bowl winner and once Super Bowl MVP, proved age is just a number with his performance on Sunday. He showcased that he is no lesser version than the killer comeback Flacco from last year.
The Browns signed Flacco in Week 12, gearing up as starter since Week 13. In the next four games, Flacco led the Browns to three wins. Meanwhile, he also threw for 1,307 yards, 10 touchdowns and seven interceptions. The Browns defense and Flacco made the Browns a hungry contender for Super Bowl.
His charm is also intact as he addressed a comment by Anthony Richardson regarding his cool demeanor. Flacco said that Richardson has told him that he’s 8 days older than his mother, a proof that Richardson is not thinking of him as cool. Earlier, Richardson also noted that it feels amazing to tie boots with people who have ginormous experience and are part of one’s childhood.
Joe Flacco’s Baltimore Ravens defeated San Francisco 49ers in the Har-Bowl in 2013 to win their second NFL championship. Flacco completed 22-of-33 for 287 yards, three touchdowns to assist the win. Richardson would have been in middle school at the time, barely being 12 years in age.
