Watch: “Most unique way to get out” Ayabullela Gqamane involved in one of the most outlandish dismissals during CSA T20 Cup

Ayabullela Gqamane
The seventh match of the CSA Provincial T20 Cup 2021 saw Knights going head-to-head against Titans at the Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein. One of the highlights of the entire game was Titans’ batter Ayabullela Gqamane losing his wicket in a completely bizarre manner.
On the fifth ball of the 19th over, Migael Pretorious bowled a slower delivery to the on-strike batter Gqamane. The right-hander was hoping to hit a big shot and thus went quite deep into the wicket. However, as Ayabullela Gqamane was attempting to hit the ball, he uprooted the stumps only with the willow.
The entire episode left the viewers and the commentators in stitches as they couldn’t believe the way Ayabullela lost his wicket. During his extremely short stay on the crease, the 32-year-old smashed 12 runs off just seven deliveries. The batter looked in fine touch as he hit two maximums and was playing at a strike rate of 171.43.
Knights script victory in the game by six wickets

The match between Titans and Knights commenced with Knights opting to chase the total. Batting first in the game, Titans were decent with the willow as they posted 143 runs on the scoreboard in their 20 overs. Skipper Dean Elgar was the wrecker-in-chief for his team as he hit 41 runs off 38 deliveries.
Apart from the skipper, no batter could score even 30 runs. For Knights, Migael Pretorious was the pick of the bowler as he took a three-wicket haul. Apart from Migael, Mbulelo Budaza scalped two wickets while Jacques Snyman and Gerald Coetzee had one each to their name.
Chasing 144, Knights were at their best with the willow as they convincingly won the match by six wickets. Rilee Rossouw steered his team to victory as he hammered not out 73 runs off 51 deliveries.
