Barbados Tridents rope in Chris Morris for CPL 2021

Chris Morris

Barbados Tridents have added the South African all-rounder Chris Morris to the squad for the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2021.

Chris Morris would feature in CPL for the first time. He was drafted by St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the 2017 season for USD 130,000. However, he didn’t get a chance to appear in any game.

Morris is a genuine match-winner who has the skill to bowl at a good pace and can be crucial during the death overs with his lethal yorkers. He can also change the course of the match with his hard-hitting abilities towards the end of the innings. His abilities also saw him become the most expensive player in the history of IPL when he was picked up by Rajasthan Royals for a massive INR 16.25 Cr.

The Tridents are heavily dependent on their core all-rounders namely skipper Jason Holder alongside the support of Thisara Perera and Chris Morris. They have also added Mohammad Amir and Smit Patel to the squad for additional strength.
