“Cheap copy of Nepal jersey” – Fans show disappointment with Delhi Capitals’ new jersey for IPL 2022

The Delhi Capitals, co-owned by JSW-GMR, have launched a new jersey for the upcoming Indian Premier League season. With an equal dash of red and blue, the new jersey “exudes youthful and vibrant energy.” Its logo continues to include the tiger to represent the team’s strength and courage. The red and blue are symbols of courage on the field, while the blue represents balance and composure.

Taking to Twitter, the Rishabh Pant-led franchise shared a picture, highlighting different parts of their latest jersey with the caption: “Presenting the new threads we’ll flaunt in #IPL2022.”

“It’s a new cycle of the IPL, and we can’t wait to see our players in this brand new jersey,” said Vinod Bisht, Interim CEO, Delhi Capitals. “Supporting this team in its quest for glory is our fan army, so it’s only fitting for us to make them a part of our journey in every step.”

Rishabh Pant will continue to lead the franchise, which had retained him ahead of the auction along with three other players – Anrich Nortje, Akshar Patel and Prithvi Shaw. During the mega-auction last month, the franchise roped in some prominent names like David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, Shardul Thakur, Mustafizur Rahman and Kuldeep Yadav.
