IPL 2022: ‘Russell muscle’ – Twitter awestruck by Andre Russell’s performance

Andre Russell’s dramatic attack has moved KKR to 175. Earlier, the SRH seamers took advantage of the wicket’s pace and bounce to make the pitch talk to the new ball. KKR were 31/3 in the 10th over, when Umran’s blistering pace claimed Shreyas, but Rana raised up one end and scored his first fifty in 19 IPL innings.

He was accompanied by Russell, who backed him up and then steamrolled sixes at the end to put the game out of reach. Russell took away SRH’s bowlers whenever they missed. Russell scored 16 from off four deliveries he encountered in the final over, which was delivered by a spinner. Andre Russell helped KKR put a challenging target for SRH

As Kolkata fell to 103/5, Umran Malik added to the injury by eliminating Shreyas Iyer and Sheldon Jackson. Kolkata reached 175/8 in 20 overs after Nitish Rana scored his maiden fifty of the year and Andre Russell hit an amazing 49 off 25 balls. Hyderabad had already named J Suchith in lieu of Washington Sundar, who was injured. Aaron Finch and Aman Khan made their debuts for KKR against SRH.
