“Poor and mean umpiring” – Fans are unhappy on dismissal of Kane Williamson’s wicket

Kane Williamson

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) met in the fifth IPL 2022 match at the MCA Stadium in Pune. Rajasthan batted their way to a mammoth total of 210/6 in their allotted 20 overs, thanks to some brilliant power-hitting from their batters. Trent Boult removed SRH captain Kane Williamson early in the innings, and the Royals’ bowlers started well as well.

However, the wicket would not have been possible without the outstanding fielding efforts of Sanju Samson and Devdutt Padikkal. After Boult induced an outside edge from Williamson, the ball appeared to be moving quickly past Sanju Samson. The RR wicketkeeper also reached out to his right to grab the ball, but he only managed a tickle.

The ball appeared to be dying on Devdutt Padikkal, but he remained alert enough to dive forward and complete the catch. The on-field umpire did not take a chance and referred it to the third umpire, who appeared convinced and ruled in favour of RR.

Samson’s scintillating half-century, Rajasthan set a target of 211 for Kane Williamson’s Hyderabad Team

Match 5 of IPL 2022 will witness Kane Williamson-led Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) take on Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals. Kane Williamson won the toss for SRH and asked RR to bat first. Another great match going on in this Indian T20 League!!! Batting first after losing the toss, Sanju’s army set a target of 211 runs in front of Hyderabad. Batting first, both the openers of Rajasthan team started in a quick fashion. Both the batsmen added 58 runs for the first wicket. Meanwhile, Yashasvi Jaiswal (20) joined his fellow player and lost his wicket.

Shortly after that Jos Buttler (35) was also caught out, who got a big life on the score of zero when Bhuvneshwar’s ball was caught after a no-ball and he survived the dismissal. After Butler’s return to the pavilion, Devdutt Padikkal (41) along with captain Sanju put up a brilliant 73-run half-century partnership, which put the team in a strong scoring position. However, Padikkal got bowled by Umran Malik during this time.

After which Sanju Samson (55) showed a great game and continued to shoot from one side and also completed his half-century but in the 17th over, Sanju was caught by Bhuvneshwar. However, in the end, Shimron Hetmyer (32) along with his teammate Riyan Parag (12) put some shots in a quick manner and took his team’s score to 210 runs.

Hyderabad team, who came to bowl first after winning the toss, bowled a lot of no balls in the beginning, due to which the success also got out of hand!! Meanwhile, Kane Williamson used some 6 bowlers, in which Umran Malik and T Natarajan took 2-2 wickets. While Romario Shepherd and Bhuvneshwar Kumar took 1-1 wickets in their name. Now it has to be seen with what thinking the Hyderabad team comes to the field to bat and whether it starts this league with victory.
