Sachin Tendulkar, regarded as the god of cricket by many sections of the crowd, had an incredible career. He achieved almost everything a player can imagine during his playing time. Be it a World Cup trophy or amassing the most number of centuries by a single player. Sachin did everything.

But was there something that even the great Sachin Tendulkar couldn’t do? Well, unfortunately, there’s one thing that the master blaster failed to achieve in his career. He was unable to cross the 300 runs mark for even a single time in his glorious career.

Scoring three-hundred runs in a single inning is no easy task by any means. But considering the immense talent that Tendulkar possessed, it leaves fans surprised how he couldn’t achieve that feat when other players did.

Kapil Dev talks about Sachin Tendulkar having no career triple centuries

Almost a year ago, former Indian skipper and world cup winner, Kapil Dev shared his thoughts on Sachin not having any triple centuries or very few double centuries.

Kapil stated, “I think the reason behind Sachin Tendulkar not scoring more double hundreds and triple centuries is the cultural mindset of Mumbai cricket.

“Now that Sachin used to come from Mumbai, his thinking or mood was such that once you score a century, start again from zero. And I refuse to think further on this level.

“You are such a ruthless batsman after century and bowlers should be intimidated by you. After completing a century, Sachin used to start taking singles and re-decorating the innings and this was the reason why Sachin could not become a ruthless batsman.”

For a player who had 34,357 runs across all three formats during his career, it will always come as a shock that he never managed to add a triple century to his name.

Well whatever be the case, Sachin will go down as the best cricket player to ever grace the field. He built his legacy and it will forever be remembered by fans for generations to come.
