It was the battle between two teams who were yet to win a match in the second leg of IPL 2021. However, finally, Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore managed to find a way and defeated Rohit Sharma’s Mumbai Indians by a huge margin of 54 runs.

Interestingly, RCB’s Harshal Patel claimed a hat-trick against MI and took four wickets in the match. He completely shifted the momentum of the match by picking up the wickets of both Kieron Pollard and Hardik Pandya in the same over.

Batting first, RCB posted a total of 165 runs on the board- thanks to efforts of Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell. Even though MI got off to a great star, their middle order collapsed completely and were not Abe to convert that start into a good innings.

With this win, Royal Challengers Bangalore are still on the third spot in the points table of IPL 2021 with 12 points. On the other hand, Mumbai Indians are at the seventh position after this terrible defeat.
