Former South African cricketer AB de Villiers has revealed that he and Chris Gayle will be cheering for their former franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) during their first home of the upcoming IPL season. They will be visiting the Chinnaswamy Stadium to cheer the boys.

“It’s true. Not just me but Chris Gayle aka Universe Boss will be cheering for our boys at Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru for their first match in IPL 2023,” de Villiers said on his YouTube channel. However, it’s still unclear whether they will be holding any position in the franchise or not.

Both cricketers have shown interest in returning to the Bengaluru-based franchise in the upcoming season. But the positions are yet to be cleared from the franchise’s end. The duo shared some good moments during their stint at RCB, where they played some memorable innings.

India beat Zimbabwe by 71 runs

AB de Villiers, who recently visited India, revealed his predictions for the ongoing T20 World Cup in Australia. He said that India and New Zealand will play the finals next Sunday (November 13). He went on to pick Men in Blue as the ultimate winners of the showpiece event.

“I think India will play New Zealand in the final and I think India will win. Everyone is playing well, Suryakumar looks in good form, Virat looks in good form. Rohit has not had his best of runs but he will come to the party when it matters most, he is a fantastic player,” he said.

The final will be played at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) Stadium on the weekend. Unfortunately, the chances of rain are extremely high. A reserve day is kept in place but if we don’t get a winner in those two days, the trophy will be shared by the two countries.
