On 19th March, Royal Challengers Bengaluru hosted their Unbox event at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. The event saw the RCB men’s and women’s team, along with Alan Walker and Raghu Dixit. 

The event saw the RCB-W team show off their WPL title days after beating Delhi Captials-W in the WPL finals. They were also given a guard of honor by the men’s team.

The team also presented their new jersey, in which the color scheme had been changed from red and black to red and blue. The team also announced that they had renamed themselves. Instead of being called Royal Challengers Bangalore, they would now be called Royal Challengers Bengaluru, using the official name of the city. 

During the event, Virat Kohli was asked to say a few words. He addressed it to the RCB fans present, and told the fans in Kannada that it was a new chapter of the team. It got all the fans hyped up, with many cheering on for their former captain

Virat Kohli is embarrassed by King tag 

Virat Kohli is regarded as one of the best batters in the world. Ever since debuting in 2008, his consistent performances have made him a fan favorite and he got the tag of “King”. Fans and pundits keep calling the 35-year-old King Kohli, but the Indian star does not like it.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru will face Chennai Super Kings in the opener of the 2024 Indian Premier League. The match will be played at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai on 22nd March. Kohli was seen batting in the nets before the Unbox event, practicing for his first match in two months.
