Carlos Brathwaite, the West Indian batsman who we all remember for his ravishing knock in the T20 world cup final , has picked his choice on who’ll replace Dwayne Bravo in the near future. Dwayne Bravo has been a pivotal part of the CSK team since his addition to the team in 2011. He has contributed with the ball and the bat and has a great contribution in the team’s overall performance.  According to Brathwaite the English all rounder has the prowess to contribute similarly and replicate Bravo’s legacy. Though Jordan has started off the season poorly, he can be a great addition in the long term for the team in Yellow.

Dwayne Bravo has recently broken the record of Lasith Malinga by taking more than 170 wickets in the IPL. He can also prove lethal with the bat by scoring quick runs in the penultimate overs of the match. Jordan is off to a poor start this season, with a 67.50 average this season and an overall average of 30.85 in the IPL.

Braithwaite strongly believes Jordan will be a great addition and a long-term hope for Super Kings.

Sanjay Manjrekar, a former cricketer turned commentator, believes CSK should drop Jordan following his poor bowling performance but Brathwaite, who has played in the IPL for KKR, SRH, and DC, believes that Jordan might take over Bravo’s job for the four-time champions in the future.

Sanjay Manjrekar said, “Most likely that will happen but they have also got some local bowlers to choose from. They have Asif, Tushar Deshpande and they have got Hangargekar as well. So they could go local as well as some of the other franchises are doing.”

“On the basis of the last game, the general consensus will be yes. But if you are looking at the long-term future of CSK then Jordan will take over from Bravo. On the basis of that, they will be looking to give him a long rope,” Brathwaite stated to ESPNCricinfo.
