The Chakda Express holds multiple records in the women’s cricket. She has bowled 2270.2 overs in women’s cricket, holds the record of most wickets in international games with 355 scalps and in ODI, she stands top with 255 wickets. In the World Cups, she is the record holder for most number of wickets (43).

During the toss, India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, who had made her debut under Goswami, asked the legend to call the toss in a touching gesture. The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) is also planning to name a stand at the Eden Gardens after Goswami.

Speaking about Goswami at the presentation ceremony, Harmanpreet said: “When I debuted she was a leader, before the game I told her when I was going through the best time people supported me but when I was in a rough time she was the one who supported me.

I wanted to thank her and tell her she is always with us. She is a go-to person, I always called her at low times and she was someone always guiding me.”

Following the match, wishes poured from from all across the cricket fraternity to Goswami for her illustrious career.
