Despite being critical at first, ex-India cricketer now claims Indian management was forced to do EXPERIMENTS
It wouldn't have led to such massive outrage if the management had not rested the senior most player from the playing XI.

There was quite an outrage on social media when India did experiments during the three-match ODI series against West Indies. It wouldn’t have led to such massive outrage if the management had not rested the senior most player from the playing XI.
On Twitter, #SackRovid started trending because it displeased the fans a great deal to see India doing these experiments when they have little time in their hands ahead of the upcoming ICC ODI World Cup this year in India. Virat Kohli and skipper Rohit Sharma were included in the team for the first ODI but not for the second and third one.
Former India player Akash Chopra was one such critic. He did not like the way too much experiments with the team combination. But now, he feels the Indian management was forced to do them due to the unavailability of star players.
“Their hands are tied. Because I was critical of the team when they experimented too much in the ODI series when they had three different batters at no. 3 and no. 4 in three different games,” Chopra told NDTV during an interaction with JioCinema.
KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, and Shreyas Iyer are currently recuperating
The players, who have been injured are KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, and Rishabh Pant. Had they played, they would be given positions in the middle order. All three players are recovering from injuries.
Shreyas Iyer suffered from back pain, while the latest reports say Rahul has completely recovered to be back on the field. On the other hand, Pant, who got severely injured during a life-threatening car accident last year in December, has started practicing in the nets. But their availability in the upcoming ODI World Cup is uncertain.
In place of Rohit, Ishan Kishan was given the chance to open and he played brilliantly throughout the series, scoring half-centuries in all three matches. Sanju Samson also played a half-century knock. India won the ODI series 2-1 and have started the T20I series against the same team.
