After sending Indian fans into a frenzy by sharing photos of Bollywood legend Shah Rukh Khan with the ODI World Cup, now the social media handles of the International Cricket Council (ICC) posted the promo of the 2023 ODI World Cup featuring Khan and a host of prominent faces of the cricket fraternity. With the voice of Khan in the background, the campaign, ‘It Takes One Day’ is about connecting fans around the world to ‘Navarasa’, the nine emotions that cricket fans will experience while watching the World Cup matches. The campaign was launched in Mumbai on Thursday (July 20).

Not just Khan, prominent faces from the cricket world, the likes of Dinesh Karthik, Shubman Gill, Eoin Morgan, Mutthiah Muralitharan, Jemimah Rodrigues, and JP Duminy also featured in the campaign. ICC shared the promotional video with the caption: “History will be written and dreams will be realized at the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 All it takes is just one day”.

The promo shows those emotions fans as well as the cricketers experience during the matches. The breathtaking catches, sixes, batting, fielding, and the heartbreaks of the fans and players after experiencing the sudden emotion that their team can no longer lift the World Cup. These ‘Navarasa’ are- anguish, bravery, pride, joy, passion, power, respect, wonder, and glory.

The highly anticipated tournament, with 10 teams, will begin on October 5 with the match between 2019 World Cup’s finalists- England and New Zealand. India will be playing their first match on October 8 against Australia, while they will lock horns with arch-rivals Pakistan on October 15th.
