“He still does not how to be a captain,” Umar Akmal tears apart Babar Azam for captaincy blunder against New Zealand
Akmal also felt that Babar’s decision to bowl Shadab Khan ahead of Iftikhar Ahmed with two left-handers in the middle was not justified.

Former Pakistan wicketkeeper Umar Akmal criticized current Pakistan skipper Babar Azam for his captaincy blunders during the home T20I series against New Zealand. Akmal said that even after four years, Babar has not learnt the art of captaincy. Notably, Pakistan failed to win the five-match T20I series against New Zealand as it ended in a 2-2 draw.
Pakistan had a chance to win the final T20I and take the series 3-1 as New Zealand were reduced to 73/4 in 10 overs. However, the host team let the game slip from their grasp. Mark Chapman and Jimmy Neesham stitched an unbeaten partnership of 123 runs to take New Zealand home. Meanwhile, Pakistan fans were left fuming at this defeat.
Former Pakistan cricketers also criticized Babar Azam for his below-average captaincy. Akmal led the charge as he said Babar made tactical blunders.
“Speaking of their mistakes, they deflect and accuse us of criticism. But our focus is on their captaincy, not their performance. We’re not blind to their abilities. He (Babar Azam) still doesn’t know how to captain a team after four years – he doesn’t even know which bowler to give to ball to at what time,” Kamran Akmal said on his YouTube channel.
“It’s no surprise that they lost when they continued to make the same mistakes. We didn’t control our errors, and that’s why they emerged victorious,” he added. Akmal also felt that Babar’s decision to bowl Shadab Khan ahead of Iftikhar Ahmed with two left-handers in the middle was not justified.
However, if one discovers the most popular NZ online casinos, it looks like New Zealand holds the head-to-head record against Pakistan which stands as Pakistan and New Zealand have faced each other 28 times in T20 internationals with New Zealand having won 11 matches, while Pakistan have won 17.
What do the numbers say?

Umar Akmal seems unhappy with Babar Azam’s captaincy but the numbers say otherwise. Azam has a win percentage of over 65 in T20Is while he boats of a win percentage of 64.28% in ODIs. In Test cricket, Babar Azam has won 8 out of 18 matches (44.44%).
