“She is looking towards non striker end to cheat”- Pakistan’s Mohammad Asif slams Deepti Sharma’s mankading Charlie Dean

Mohammad Asif and Deepti Sharma
Former Pakistani pacer Mohammad Asif slammed India pacer Deepti Sharma for ‘mankading’ Charlie Dean. India women were locking horns with England in the third and final ODI where the visitors were rather heavy in the concluding ODI on Saturday, September 24.
India posted a target of 170, their bowlers did a pretty good job to tumble England’s innings. 50 runs were needed and the only two batters left were at the crease. It looked as if No. 9 batter Dean might emerge as the star of the match until Deepti ended her knock.
Knowing the nature of Mankad dismissals, the cricket fraternity has polarised reactions. England skipper Amy Jones was displeased at what happened but India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur praised Deepti’s game awareness.
Former Pakistan pacer Mohammad Asif took to Twitter, called Deepti’s action unfair with a tag of a cheater.
“We can see it clearly there is no intention of bowling the ball, she is looking towards non striker batter to cheat him. This is very unfair & terrible act worst spirit.”

Virender Sehwag called England “poor losers”

Former India opener Virender Sehwag supported Deepti Sharma and called England poor losers. In his tweet he said: “Funny to see so many English guys being poor losers.”
He shared two pictures in his tweet. One of them was the Mankad law 41.16, which pertains to the “Non-striker leaving his/her ground early,” states: “If the non-striker is out of his/her ground at any time from the moment the ball comes into play until the instant when the bowler would normally have been expected to release the ball, the non-striker is liable to be run out.”
