Mohammed Shami is not part of the five-match Test series against England as he is recovering from an injury. Recently, he criticized former Pakistan bowler Hasan Raza for his bizarre ‘ball change’ remark he made during the 2023 ODI World Cup.
Raza said that the reason why India were getting extra swing was because the International Cricket Council (ICC), umpire, or the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) were providing a different ball to the Indian bowlers. Raza said it after the India versus Sri Lanka match, played in Mumbai.
Shami did not mince his words while criticizing Raza for the bizarre claim. During a recent event, Shami said Raza was jealous of India’s performance that’s why he uttered those things.
