India’s most adored cricketer MS Dhoni is celebrating his 41st birthday today, on Thursday, July 7. He is currently in London with wife Sakshi Singh Dhoni and daughter Ziva. Many birthday wishes have been pouring for him on social media from Virat Kohli, Dinesh Karthik to many others.

Dhoni’s wife Sakshi Singh Dhoni also shared a video on her social media platforms where Dhoni could be seen celebrating his birthday in a grand manner. Current India wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant could also be spotted in Sakshi’s story on Instagram.

Kohli posted a collage of pics of Dhoni and him on social media accounts and wrote: “A leader like no other. Thanks for everything you have done for Indian cricket. You became more like an elder brother for me. Nothing but love and respect always.”

Dinesh Karthik was his rival in domestic cricket for a long time back in those days. He has also played under him and shared a special wish on his birthday. He posted a sketch of Dhoni looking at all his IPL trophies and wrote the message: “Happy Birthday Legend. MS Dhoni is an idol for everyone! Wishing you a very happy birthday MS.”

Dhoni was born on this day in Ranchi (then Bihar and now the capital of the state of Jharkhand). He played his first international cricket in 2003 against Bangladesh where he got run out on a duck. But in the next year, he scored a world record- 183* against Sri Lanka in ODI, which is also the highest score by a wicket-keeper in international cricket so far.

Prior to his birthday, Dhoni also celebrated his 12th wedding anniversary with Sakshi in London on July 4th. He also attended the tennis match played between Rafael Nadal and Taylore Fritz at Wimbledon just a day before his birthday. Wimbledon’s official Twitter shared the picture of Dhoni with the caption: “An Indian icon watching on”.
