Veteran Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty revealed who his favorite cricketer is and it’s none other than former India captain Virat Kohli. Shetty said though KL Rahul is his son-in-law, Kohli, the “master of chasing” is his favorite among today’s cricketers.

Shetty appeared at Moneycontrol Creator Economy Summit where he talked about various subjects, including cricket. The Hera Pheri actor also revealed that he dreamt of playing for India but it’s now fulfilled by Rahul.

Shetty said at the stage of Moneycontrol Creator Economy Summit

Shetty called Kohli the “master of chasing”. He further added:

Even though we are chasing and Virat is batting, that's not happening, so it's Virat for sure.

Rahul married Shetty’s daughter and Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty on January 23, 2023. The couple dated for almost four years before tying the knot.

KL Rahul wins best fielder’s award twice

Team India started a new ceremony for the best fielder in the dressing room after every match of the 2023 ODI World Cup. KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja are among those who have won the awards so far.

But Rahul, after his catch during a match against England, won his second-best fielder’s award. He was the only fielder who grabbed the catch against Jos Buttler and his men because the battles were dismissed via other methods.

After the match against England, all the floodlights at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow became dark. Rahul’s name appeared with his jersey number.

The video of the ceremony became an instant hit among the fans and they were happy to see such a team enjoying the tournament.
