Babar Azam had a poor show in Asia Cup 2022
Babar Azam has experienced success across all formats and he is among the top three batters in all three formats. However, he had not a great game with his bat in the recently-concluded Asia Cup 2022. He struggled for runs throughout the tournament; his manner of batting was also questioned by former cricketers and experts. His Men in Green, despite a good fight in the final, lost to Sri Lanka on Sunday.
The 27-year-old could accumulate only 68 runs in six matches. His scores in that tournament read, 10 (9), 9 (8), 14 (10), 0 (1), 30 (29), and 5(6).
Although, he remains No. 1 batsman in ODI, his poor performance in Asia Cup 2022 made him acquire the second position in T20I rankings. He is third in Test rankings.
