Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan hosted a #AskSRK session on his Twitter account on Saturday, November 5. Among his viral replies, one tweet won the internet. He stated that if India qualify for the final, he might go to Australia to watch the match.

Khan first asked this on the micro-blogging platform: “We all wake up with questions….today I woke up with answers! So thought maybe we could do a #AskSRK for 15 minutes…if you have time to spare please ask.” One of the fans asked him “We saw you in the 2007 final when India won. If we again qualify in the final, can you please go there as a lucky charm?

Khan was in the stand, cheering for Team India when MS Dhoni-led Men in Blue became champions in the inaugural season of the 2007 T20 World Cup in South Africa. He attended that match along with his son Aryan Khan.

It’s well known that Khan is a cricket lover. He even owns the Indian Premier League franchise Kolkata Knight Riders. Meanwhile, replying to the fan’s question, Khan replied: “Insha Allah. Would be so much fun feel so proud and happy when India is doing well in sports.”

India secured a five-run victory against Pakistan in 2007 T20 World Cup final

India defeated Pakistan by five runs in the 2007 T20 World Cup final

The final match between India and Pakistan was one of the most iconic ones for the Indians. MS Dhoni captained a ‘new India’ with a brand new format without biggies like Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Saurav Ganguly, and Anil Kumble.

At the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg, the match went down to the wire, but Misbah-ul-Haq’s infamous scoop shot secured a five-run victory for India. Misbah’s reverse lap from Joginder Sharma’s delivery landed straight into the hands of Sreesanth.

Coming to the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022, India defeated Pakistan in their campaign opener by four wickets following a masterclass by Virat Kohli (82* off 53 balls) and Arshdeep Singh’s three scalps. Hardik Pandya (40) stitched a much-needed stand with Kohli, but the match did not end before a last-ball thriller.

India have secured six points and need a win to save a place in the semi-final berth. Rohit Sharma and Co. will be eyeing to defeat Zimbabwe on Sunday [November 6] to get the required two points. If they lose, it will only make their situation trickier.
