Axar Patel ties knot with Meha Patel in Vadodara
India all-rounder Axar Patel skipped the recently-concluded ODI series against New Zealand due to his wedding. And he finally tied the knot with his longtime beau Meha Patel on Thursday (January 27) in Vadodara.
Left-arm pacer Jaydev Unadkat shared a picture with the newlyweds on his Instagram with the caption: “Lots of love & good vibes to the newlyweds! Welcome to the club..“
Axar has not shared any pictures or videos on his social media yet, but despite that, several of them are storming on the internet, especially the video where Axar was showing off his dance skills. He could be seen grooving to the song ‘Maan Meri Jaan’ with Meha. Check those viral videos here:
The ceremony was attended by only family and close friends. Axar and Meha took the vows in traditional Gujarati functions. While Meha wore a white lehenga with golden embroidery, Axar donned a white sherwani with a dupatta resting on his shoulder, including a safa on his head.
As per reports, Meha is a dietician and nutritionist. She runs her own business and offers online counseling as well.

After the wedding Axar Patel will return to the Test side for Gavaskar-Border Trophy
The couple got engaged in January last year on Axar’s 28th birthday. The cricketer even posted a picture of them on January 20 to announce the news of his engagement. “Today is the new beginning of our life. Together and forever. Love you till eternity,” his caption read. Meha also posted on her Instagram: “Finally the wait is over.”
The 29-year-old has been an integral part of Team India during the absence of Ravindra Jadeja, who got injured during last year’s Asia Cup. Overall, the Gujarat-born has played eight Tests, 49 ODIs, and 40 T20Is, scalping 140 wickets across all the formats. With the bat, he has scored four international half-centuries.
A couple of days earlier, Team India opener KL Rahul also got married to Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty in a private ceremony at Suniel Shetty’s Khandala farmhouse. Even Pakistani cricketers Shan Masood and Shadab Khan also tied the knot, and soon the star pacer Shaheen Afridi will get married to Shahid Afridi’s daughter Aqsa Afridi.
After their wedding, both the cricketers, KL Rahul and Axar Patel, will return to the Test set up for the much-awaiting Gavaskar-Border Trophy, which is slated to start on February 9 at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur.
