“Burnol”- Wasim Jaffer replies to Michael Vaughan’s troll with a hilarious viral meme

Michael Vaughan and Wasim Jaffer

Former India Test opener Wasim Jaffer and former England skipper Michael Vaughan have the habit of pulling each other’s legs on Twitter. After Punjab Kings (PBKS) reappointed Jaffer as their batting coach, Vaughan expressed his shock at such a decision because he, a batter, dismissed Jaffer at the Lord’s in 2002.

Someone who got out to me is a batting coach !!!!!!!!!!!,” wrote Vaughan on Twitter. Now Jaffer’s response to Vaughan took the internet by storm. He just posted an image of ‘Hulk’ showing a tube of Burnol. Check both the posts below:

Jaffer was the batting coach of PBKS from 2019 to 2021, but he stepped down from the role before the 2022 Indian Premier League auction. Mark Wood was made the batting coach in 2022, but Jaffer took up the job again for the 2023 season.

Wasim Jaffer backs Rishabh Pant as an opener against New Zealand

Ahead of the three-match T20I series against New Zealand, Wasim Jaffer has backed Rishabh Pant to open the innings. The former opener picked India’s XI for the first match in Wellington and wants Pant as an opener alongside Shubman Gill.

Pant is known for his explosive batting from the first ball. So Jaffer believes choosing the wicketkeeper batter as an opener can give India a flying start.

“Rishabh Pant to open with Shubman Gill, don’t know if Pant will bat at the no.5 position. The best place to bat him is at the top order. Rishabh Pant has always batted at no.4 or no.5 for India and even for Delhi Capitals and the best place for him to bat is when the field is up. If he gets going then he is a dangerous player,” said Wasim Jaffer.
