An old video of 18-year-old Virat Kohli has resurfaced and doing rounds on Twitter. Kohli was with the U19 team for a tour in Pakistan in 2006. The likes of Cheteshwar Pujara, Ishant Sharma, Piyush Chawla, and Ravindra Jadeja were also part of the team.
In the video, Kohli, along with the other players, was roaming around the streets of Pakistan. At one point, when a teammate tried to spoil Kohli’s hairstyle, the 34-year-old can be heard saying: “Arrey mat kar yaar. (Please don’t do it, man.)”

Under Virat Kohli, India won U-19 World Cup in 2008
Virat Kohli was dominating with his bat back in the days when he was part of the U19 team also. In that Pakistan tour, he scored 174 runs in two youth Test matches. His highest score was 83 runs. In the four-match ODI series, he amassed 125 runs in three games.
Notably, in the 2008 Under-19 World Cup, India, led by Virat Kohli defeated South Africa by 12 runs in the final (by Duckworth-Lewis method) to lift the U19 World Cup. The tournament was held in Malaysia from February 17 to March 2.
After the U-19 World Cup win, Kohli was inducted into the ODI team and made his debut on August 18, 2008. He cemented his spot in the side and went on to play in the 2011 World Cup, which India won after 28 years, under the leadership of MS Dhoni. After the World Cup tournament, Kohli then made his Test debut, on June 20, 2011.
