India opener Shikhar Dhawan is known for his easy manners and fun loving nature. During the third ODI match between India and Zimbabwe on Monday, August 22 at the Harare Sports Club in Zimbabwe, something was caught up in camera.

KL Rahul-led India had won the toss and opted to bat first and he and Dhawan, the openers, walked out to bat first. But fans noticed something different in Dhawan’s jersey.

Dhawan had worn the jersey of Shardul Thakur had 54 numbers on the back and the name was taped out. Dhawan had to ask the Indian physio to tape up the name.

But during 27th over, when Dhawan was seen in the dressing room after his dismissal, cameraman caught a man holding a poster asking for Dhawan to remove his shirt and give it to him.

Dhawan saw it and in response, with a large smile on his face, tried to remove the shirt he was wearing. All his teammates were laughing at this.

“Get along, Shikhar. Make a donation,” said sports commentator Alan Wilkins on air.
