During the match between Peshawar Zalmi and Multan Sultans, a video of Babar Azam losing his cool at fans surfaced on the internet. In that video, the crowd could be heard taunting Azam with ‘ZimBabar’ chants.

Azam was sitting in the dugout during Peshawar Zalmi’s innings. The match was played on Friday (February 23) at the Multan Cricket Stadium in Multan.

Azam, upon seeing them, threatened to throw a bottle at them. He could be seen hurling some mouthfuls as well. But it’s also important to note that some fans on social media are saying the video is edited.

Peshawar Zalmi vs Multan Sultans match recap

After winning the toss, Peshawar Zalmi chose to bat first. Haseebullah Khan scored the most for the team, with 37 runs from 18 balls with four boundaries and two sixes on the scoreboard.

Multan Sultans, in response, could reach 174 in their 20 overs. Dawid Malan slammed 52 from 25 balls, while opener Yasir Khan scored a slow 43 runs from 37 balls. Captain Mohammad Rizwan got out for a duck in the third over.

Peshawar Zalmi will play their next match on Sunday (February 25) against defending champions Lahore Qalandars, led by Shaheen Afridi. Multan Sultan’s next assignment is also on Sunday against Quetta Gladiators.

Multan Sultans are at the top of the six-team points table with three wins from four matches. Peshawar Zalmi have won two out of the three matches they have played so far. Lahore Qalandars are at the bottom of the points table with no wins.
