Litton Das' jaw-dropping catch sends a stunned Virat Kohli packing

Virat Kohli couldn’t produce much with the bat when Bangladesh’s Litton Das sent him to the stadium with a spectacular catch on Sunday (December 4) at the Sher-e-Bangla stadium in Dhaka. Shakib Al Hasan was the bowler to dislodge Kohli on nine runs (from 15 balls).

This happened in the 11th over when Shakib’s floated ball made Kohli drive it through the covers. But Litton at the covers, quickly dived to his right to take the one-handed blinder, leaving Kohli astonished.

Talking about the match, Bangladesh skipper Litton Das won the toss and decided to field first. India have scored 152/5 in 32.3 overs so far (when this article is being written). They lost the wicket of Washington Sundar right now, while KL Rahul is playing on 53* off 50 balls.

India did not have a flying start on the sluggish pitch and two Bangladeshi spinners, Shakib Al Hasan and Mehidy Hasan sent the three top-order batters packing. Mehidy dismissed opener, Shikhar Dhawan in the sixth over, while Shakib sent skipper Rohit Sharma to the dugout in the 11th over.

Shreyas Iyer couldn’t produce much with the bat when he top-edged Ebadot Hossain’s short ball to wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim. Shehbaz Ahmed was dismissed for a duck by Ebadot on the second ball of the 34th over, while in the next ball, he dismissed Sundar.
