Delhi Capitals’ (DC) star youngster Prithvi Shaw hit headlines during the going ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) due to his poor form. However, when DC ended their campaign, a few days later, Shaw marked his first appearance at the 2023 IIFA Awards in Dubai, by publicly announcing his relationship with model Nidhi Tapadia on Friday (May 26).
The video of the duo posing for pictures grabbed netizens’ attention and quickly went viral. Shaw twinned with Tapadia as both donned black attires. The cricketer wore a black shirt, jeans, and a cap, while Tapadia dressed in an elegant black saree.

Nidhi Tapadia, born on September 13, 1997, in Maharashtra, is an actress and model. She has featured in Punjabi song Jatta Koka (2019), Yaad Karke (2019), and Gippy Grewal Ft Gurlez Akhtar: Sone DI Dabbi (2020). Notably, she was also a part of the popular crime show CID after starting her career in 2016 as a television actor.

Prithvi Shaw and Nidhi Tapadia’s online PDA drew fans’ attention
Prior to their first public appearance, Shaw and Tapadia’s social media PDA drew fans’ attention. On February 14, Shaw shared an Instagram Story, featuring him and Tapadia with the caption: “Happy valentines my wifey“.
However, he later deleted the post but clarified the reason behind posting the picture: “Someone editing my pics and showing stuffs that I haven’t put on my story or on my page. So ignore all the tags and msges thx.” He was also seen with Tapadia at a party, the video of which went viral on social media.
Talking about Shaw’s performance in the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), all he could score was a mere 106 runs from eight matches, with the highest being a 54-run knock he scored in DC’s penultimate league match against Punjab Kings.
