The 24-year-old met with a terrible car crash on the Narsan border of Roorkee near Hammadpur Jhal in the early hours of Friday. He was on his way to meet his family in Roorkee in the state of Uttarakhand when reportedly, he dozed off and lost control of the car.
But he escaped the near-fatal car crash by breaking one of the windows before he was assisted by a few men to a nearby hospital. And now, he has been given treatment at the Max Hospital in Dehradun. According to BCCI’s report, Pant has sustained two cuts on his forehead, and a ligament tear in his right knee, ankle, toe, and back.
The Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) Director Shyam Sharma said to ANI on Monday that Pant has been shifted from the ICU to a private suite due to fear of infection. Sharma also asked people to avoid meeting Pant as “there were chances of infection“, adding that there should be no VIP movement to meet Pant.
