Gujarat Titans (GT) batter Sai Sudarshan showed great team spirit as the youngster played selflessly in the IPL 2023 Final. As GT took on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the summit clash of the sixteenth edition of the tournament, Sudarshan scored a 47-ball 96 before falling prey to Mateesha Pathirana in the 20th over of the GT innings. But Sudarshan did his job perfectly. 

He did not care about what could have been his maiden IPL century and went all guns blazing against Pathirana in the last over. The left-handed batter hit two consecutive sixes on the first two balls of the 20th over to enter into the 90s. 

With four balls left, Sudarshan could have easily looked to score his maiden ton but the youngster tried to take on Pathirana again on the third delivery but only to be pinned in front of the stumps. Before taking on Pathirana, Sudarshan also tore apart Tushar Deshpande as the batter hit a six and three boundaries against the CSK pacer.

Sai Sudarshan gets the applause

Sai Sudarshan impressed everyone with his blistering knock against CSK in the IPL 2023 Final. While the GT batter struggled to get going in the first few balls, Sudarshan was up and running once he started to time his shots. The left-handed batter scored 23 off the first 20 balls. Sudarshan then reached his fifty in 33 balls and then unleashed his attacking self on the CSK bowlers. In the next fourteen balls, Sudarshan scored as many as 45 runs.

This fiery knock from the GT batter earned him a lot of praise from all corners. From former cricketers to fans, everyone lauded Sudarshan for his blistering knock.
