Smriti Mandhana has enjoyed a rapid rise in world cricket since her debut for India at the age of 18. A consistent batter for India, she never fails to amaze the fans with her power hittings and her ability to rescue India from precarious situations. Recently, she appeared on the popular Indian show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) along with India’s rising star Ishan Kishan.

Those who watch the show hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, know that the Bollywood legend and those sitting on that ‘hot seat’ converse about engaging topics apart from playing the game. So a fan on that show asked Mandhana an interesting question.

The fan told Mandhana that she has many male followers on Instagram, then asked her what qualities she likes in a man. Bachchan interrupted and asked the fan whether he was married or not, to which the fan replied he was not. Mandhana expressed her surprise at being asked that question but revealed that the man she wants to marry should be someone who understands the demanding nature of cricket.

I did not expect such a question. Accha ladka ho (he should be good) is very important. He should be caring and understand my sport. Those are two major qualities that he should have.
Mandhana said on KBC

She added:

Because, as a girl, I will not be able to give him that much time. That thing he should understand and he should care about. These are the things which are top priority. These are the qualities that I would like in a man.

Smriti Mandhana played important knocks in both the innings. In the first innings, she scored 76 runs from 106 balls, while in the second innings, she remained unbeaten on 38 after playing 61 deliveries.

Thanks to her knocks and contributions from all the departments, the team clinched the historic victory over Alyssa Healy and Co. who got a target of a mere 75 runs after getting bundled out for 261 runs in their second innings. The two teams will now lock horns for three-match ODIs, the first of which will start on December 28 in Mumbai.
