Cheteshwar Pujara was in a dance mood in the ongoing Royal London One-Day Cup while playing for Sussex. After shocking everyone with his 107-run knock off 79 balls against Warwickshire, he won the heart of all off his knock of 174 runs from 131 balls.
This knock came against Surrey on Sunday when his team was tethering at 9/2 in 3.2 overs. When Pujara walked out to bat, he stiched a 205-run stand with Tom Clark.
Clark had played a century knock of 104 runs. After his wicket, Pujara kept leading his side and raced to his century in 103 balls and started striking the balls at better strike rate.
He smashed 20 fours and five sixes during his knock and was sent back in the 48th over. However, after he scored his century, he produced an absolute carnage as he scored 74 runs off the next 28 balls.
But apart from Pujara‘s knock, his daughter, who was present in the stands, is winning the heart of the internet. Check the video below:
Sussex were able to post a mammoth 378/6 in their 50 overs with Pujara’s knock. Conor McKerr scalped two wickets for Surrey while Tom Lawes, Matt Dunn, Amar Vairdi, and Yousef Majid picked one wicket each.
Surrey responded with Ryan Patel scored 65 runs off 56 balls and Tom Lawes playing a knock of an unbeaten 57 runs. But they failed to win the match as Aristides Karvelas’s 4/35 and Delray Rawlins’ 3/25 helped Sussex bundle out Surrey for 162 and they won the game by a huge margin of 216 runs.
