RR’s middle-over
Jimmy Neesham played a knock of 14 runs in 12 balls when a run out from LSG skipper KL Rahul dismissed him.
Ravi Bishnoi bowled a full ball to Ravichandran Ashwin who drove it straight to extra cover and Jimmy Neesham came out of the crease in search of a run.
Ashwin but stood outside the crease watching KL Rahul throw the ball to the bowler. But he tried to cross Neesham and sacrificed himself as Bishnoi collected the ball and broke the stumps. The third umpire gave the review which showed that the batter didn’t cross and so Neesham had to depart.
With a four, Ashwin scored an unbeaten 10 runs in 7 balls while Trent Boult played quick and unbeaten knock of 17 runs in 9 balls with 2 fours to help RR reach a challenging total of 178/6 in 20 overs.
