Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh appeared in Ranveer Allhabadia’s ‘The Ranveer Show’ podcast where he discussed his career, his relationship with MS Dhoni as well as with Virat Kohli. Yuvraj said that though he shared a good professional bond with Dhoni, they are not close friends off the field due to their differences in lifestyle.

And on Kohli, the former all-rounder said he doesn’t disturb the 35-year-old because of his bust schedule. Kohli and Yuvraj played together for India and also were part of the side that lifted the 2011 ODI World Cup.

I don’t disturb him because he is busy. We knew the young Virat Kohli as Cheeku. Today’s Cheeku is Virat Kohli, so there is a big difference.

On Kohli’s fitness, Yuvraj said that though the concept of fitness was always there in the team, Kohli took it to another level and set the standard after becoming the captain of the Indian team.

We all wanted to become a fit team but when Kohli became the captain there was a big difference. He set a benchmark.

Kohli is currently playing in the ongoing 2023 ODI World Cup in India. He has scored two centuries and even equaled Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 49 tons in ODIs.

Last year, during the T20 World Cup match between India and Pakistan, Virat Kohli hit Haris Rauf for a spectacular six at the MCC in Melbourne. And on Kohli’s 35th birthday, the International Cricket Council (ICC) paid a special tribute to the talismanic batter by labeling the six as the ‘Shot of the Century’.
