Twitter reacts as Punjab Kings choke against Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2021
Fans took quite a lot of dig at Punjab Kings after their poor finish against Rajasthan Royals. Some even compared them to Royal Challengers Bangalore, often known for its ability to choke under pressure.
While trolling, some fans also felt really bad for PBKS skipper, KL Rahul, who once again managed to take the Orange Cap but failed to make his team end on the winning side. Interestingly, he also became the second fastest player to reach 3000 runs in IPL history.
The Twitteratis hailed young Indian bowler, Kartik Tyagi, for showing extreme calmness and composure in the last over. He gave away just two runs and took two important wickets.
Even though Rajasthan won the match, many fans claiming that there were two no-balls in the 19th over of the second innings. While bowling, Bangladesh’s Mustafizur Rahman stepped on the side line twice with his back (right) foot. Even though the third umpire didn’t give any no ball, according to rules, both were actually no-balls.
Certainly, if those two no-balls were given, Punjab Kings would have won the match. However, that is not the case now. It will be intriguing to see how Punjab fights back from here. Will they be able to finish inside the top-4?
