Twitter Battle: Harbhajan Singh reminds Mohammad Amir of ‘spot-fixing scandal as the duo indulges in an ugly verbal spat

Harbhajan Singh and Mohammad Amir

Legendary India spinner Harbhajan Singh and former Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir indulged in a heated battle of words on Twitter on the bank of the IND-PAK clash in the 2021 ICC T20 World Cup in UAE. Earlier, India went down by 10 wickets against their arch-rivals to concede their maiden defeat against Babar Azam’s men in WC history.

The ugly dispute was begun by Amir who shared an old video of Bhajji conceding four sixes in a Test match against former Pakistani skipper Shahid Afridi. However, the Indian off-spinner didn’t sit back as he hit hard with a reminder of Amir’s infamous ‘spot-fixing’ saga at the Lord’s Cricket Ground, London.

“Me busy tha @harbhajan_singh apki bowling dekh raha tha test jab LaLA ne apko 4 bowls pe 4 sixes mare thay but cricket hai lag sakte but test cricket me thora ziada ho gia tha,” Amir tweet.

Harbhajan replied: “Lords mai no ball kaise ho gya tha ?? Kitna liya kisne diya ? Test cricket hai no ball kaise ho sakta hai ? Shame on u and ur other supporters for disgracing this beautiful game.”

The duo didn’t stop here as they went on to exchange plenty of targeted tweets last night. The left-hander wrote another post in a highly derogatory language to which Harbhajan came up with a befitting reply.

“For people like you @iamamirofficial only Paisa paisa paisa paisa .. na izzat na kuch aur sirf paisa..bataoge nahi apne desh walo ko aur supporters ko k kitna mila tha .. get lost I feel yuk talking to people like you for insulting this game and making people fool with ur acts,” Singh wrote.

The Turbanotor concluded the spat from his end with a style as he shared a video from an old IND-PAK match where he is seen smashing Amir for a mammoth six and he captioned the post as:

“Fixer ko sixer.. out of the park @iamamirofficial chal daffa ho ja.”
