England pacer Jofra Archer is one of the deadliest bowlers to face in the world at present. If not for his long recurring injuries, we would have seen him harming more batters in the past. His fiery pace and additional bounce makes life tough for batters on the pitch.

After being sidelined for more than a year, Archer has finally returned as he has been training with the English team. He has already started bowling and is looking sharper than ever before. He recently hit English batter Zak Crawley on the helmet in the practice session. The video is doing the rounds on the internet.

His return to the field will be very close if he remains fit. Archer made his international debut for the Three Lions in 2019. He was instrumental in England’s success at the 2019 ODI World Cup. With the 2023 World Cup approaching, he will want to get back in shape and form.

Jofra Archer revealed that he has to work more to get his regain 100% fitness. He expressed his joy at returning to practice with the old faces. The 27-year-old pacer also stated that he wants to help England in the 2023 ODI World Cup, where they will be looking to defend their title.

“I still don’t think I am 100 per cent as yet; I still need to do some more work to get the body back up and fit and firing. But in the short-term, just to be fit is the most important thing. I am so, so glad to be back and this is a big year, we just won the T20, and we have the 50-over coming up so, hopefully, I get a chance to help defend the title. That (50-over World Cup) is the goal,” Archer was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.

Archer was a crucial part of the English side in all three formats before being injured. He has played 13 Tests, 17 ODIs and 12 T20Is, picking up 42, 30 and 14 wickets respectively. His comeback will be a big boost for England as it will strengthen their bowling department.
