Hailing from Shellharbour, New South Wales, the leg-spinner Adam Zampa has established himself as a sharp bowler who can deceive the batters in the air and off the pitch. Zampa burst into the scene during the 2010 Under-19 World Cup as he caused carnage with the ball for Australia.

The spinner gained more limelight for having a similar run-up and action as the legendary bowler Shane Warne. After a successful stint in the Under-19 World Cup, Adam Zampa went on to represent New South Wales and South Australia in the Sheffield Shield Trophy. However, it was the shortest format of the game that gave the required limelight to the leg-spinner.

2016 can be considered a golden year in Zampa’s cricket career. Though Australia failed to lift the trophy, Zampa shined bright in the 2016 T20 World Cup, hosted in India. The spinner made the most out of the dry and turning tracks in India as he finished as the highest wicket-taker for his team.

Zampa proved to be a miser with the ball as he picked up five wickets while giving away runs at an economy rate of 6.27 and an average of 13.8. Adam continued his fine form in the Indian Premier League 2016 too as he registered the second-best bowling figures in IPL history while plying his trade for Rising Pune Supergiants.

In a match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, the 29-year-old claimed six wickets while conceding just 19 runs. This was only a start of a wonderful cricket career for Adam Zampa. Six years after his debut for Australia, the right-hander has 97 ODI and 52 T20I wickets to his credit in 64 and 50 matches respectively.

Though Adam Zampa likes to keep his personal life private, he was all over the news in 2021 due to his off-field affairs. The spinner made headlines as he was forced to postpone his wedding with his long-time girlfriend Hattie Palmer twice due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. It was finally in June 2021 that Adam and Hattie tied the knot with each other in an intimate ceremony. Hattie is a model by profession.
