WTC Final: Twitter goes berserk as Jasprit Bumrah goes wicketless in first innings
Jasprit Bumrah
The rain-hit World Test Championship (WTC) final has been a great show of pace bowling from both sides. With the conditions and pitch favoring the quicks in the WTC final, the speedsters of both sides have been breathing fire from the word go. While Indian bowlers struggled at first to get their lengths right, they eventually came around to bowl the Kiwis out under 250.
While Mohammed Shami scalped four wickets, the highest for India, Jasprit Bumrah went wicketless in the first innings of the game. Bumrah looked rusty as his accuracy, which has troubled batsmen all around the world, was missing. With Bumrah struggling, India found it difficult to skittle the Kiwis out with ease.
Twitteratis lash out at Jasprit Bumrah
Twitteratis slammed Bumrah for his toothless bowling in the final of the WTC. Many questioned his place in the side for the big final given his patchy form since his return from injury. While Bumrah has been in the wickets more often than not since his comeback, his bowling lacked the usual zip which made him stand out of the crowd.
