Rishabh Pant turns 23; Wishes pour in from cricket fraternity
Rishabh Pant
Delhi Capitals (DC) and Indian national team wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant turns 23 today. Through his excellent performances in the IPL, domestic circuit and in internationals, Pant has quickly established himself as one of the hottest young prospects in world cricket. The dashing southpaw, armed with brute power, has earned a reputation for himself for decimating bowling attacks at will.
The Delhi batsman has already scored two Test centuries outside the subcontinent – the only Indian keeper batsman to do so. He has represented Indian in 13 test matches so far and has an average of 38.76. Following MS Dhoni‘s break and subsequent retirement from limited overs cricket, Pant has become a regular feature in the limited overs scene as well. Although he hasn’t found his feet yet in international limited overs cricket, it is evident that it will only be a matter of time.
He is currently with the Delhi Capitals in UAE. He shined with a 17-ball 38 in DC’s win over Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League 2020 yesterday. As he turned 23 today, wishes poured in from cricketers and fans alike.
