Minecraft has a wide selection of weapons and tools which aid the players on a variety of purposes. The tools are necessary for building, mining and crafting and the weapons protect the players from the enemy mobs that they might encounter in the world while doing so.

Crossbow in Minecraft

Minecraft has a variety of weapons ranging from swords, axes, spears and bows, which help the players defeat various enemies in the Overworld.

Crossbows in Minecraft are the cousins of the Bows in Minecraft and operate in similar fashion to them. They have higher damage, higher accuracy and longer range however ta the cost of loading time.

While charging the Crossbow players get the sneak movement speed. However, on fully reloaded the movement speed returns to normal.

The weapon has the following stats:

• Damage: 11 hearts
• Firework: 18 hearts
• Average damage: 9 hearts

The Crossbow uses arrow or fireworks as ammunition and fireworks do significantly more damage than normal arrows.

Enchantments

The Crossbow can be endowed with the following Enchantments:

• Quick Charge: Decreases the reloading time for crossbows.
• Multishot: Makes the crossbow fire 3 projectiles instead of one.
• Piercing: These arrows pierce the enemies and may even hit enemies behind them.
• Unbreaking: Causes less durability loss.
• Mending: Allows experience orbs to repair the crossbow.
• Curse of Vanishing: Causes it to disappear when dropped.

How to make a Cross bow?

Players need only need three basic items but players to need to make additional items before making a crossbow.

The items required to make a crossbow are:

• Iron Ingot x1
• Sticks x3
• String x2
• Tripwire Hook x1

The Tripwire Hook is the item that needs to be made before making a crossbow. This item can be made from:

• Iron Ingot x1
• Stick x1
• Wooden Planks x1

Arrange the three items in a Crafting table in the manner shown above to craft a Tripwire Hook.

Players can find Iron Ingots by mining underground and finding blocks of Iron and then melting them in a Furnace.

Strings can be found from Spiders and in caves. Webs in caves need to broken with a sword to get strings.

Sticks can be made by using Wooden planks and arranging them in the following way.
