CSK playoffs history: How many times has MS Dhoni-led CSK played IPL final?

Chennai Super Kings (CSK), after they triumphed over Delhi Capitals (DC) in their last league match, ensured they end the league stage in the second position on the points table with eight wins from 14 matches, clinching 17 points, and simultaneously secure themselves a playoffs berth where they humbled table-toppers Gujarat Titans, led by Hardik Pandya by 15 runs.
Notably, the Chennai-based team has made it to the playoffs for a record 12 times in 14 seasons, establishing themselves as the most successful IPL franchise, which also includes their reaching record-extending 10 IPL finals. Only Mumbai Indians (MI) is ahead of them with five IPL trophies whereas MS Dhoni and Co. have lifted the coveted cup four times.
Only two times they ended up out of the Top 4, in 2020 (finished seventh) and 2022 (finished ninth). Yellow Jersey did not play in 2016 and 2017 due to the infamous ban due to match-fixing.

How many times MS Dhoni-led CSK played in the IPL final
MS Dhoni and Co. have reached the IPL final for a record-extending 10 times, lifting the titles in 2008, 2010, 2011, and 2021 editions. They have lost the final five times, against Rajasthan Royals (2008), Kolkata Knight Riders (2012), and Mumbai Indians three times (2013, 2015, and 2017).
They defeated arch-rivals MI in the 2010 final to clinch their maiden IPL trophy, followed by defending their crown the next season with their win over the Royal Challengers Bangalore. In 2018, Sunrisers Hyderabad were the runners-up, while their fourth title came in 2021 by beating Kolkata Knight Riders in the final.
