Dallas Cowboys finally improved to a 2-2 record after an impressive 20-15 victory against the New York Giants. While the team is receiving praise for the much-needed victory, quarterback Dak Prescott hasn’t forgotten the backlash he faced following two consecutive losses.

That’s why, prior to the Thursday Night Football Match, he decided not to speak to the local media and divert all his focus on the game. Prescott has chosen not to get overly concerned about the news headlines regarding him and his team, and he advised his teammates to follow the same approach.

In the Cowboys locker room, the three-time Pro Bowler has been emphasizing the importance of not getting distracted by the media narratives, whether positive or negative. This way, the team will remain focused on the goal, which is winning games and ending the long-standing Super Bowl drought, as he shared in a recent press conference.

We got to continue to be pros. That’s not done when you get a win. We’re not going to get overexcited. Hopefully the guys don’t listen to anything being written now, good or bad. It’s about focusing on this process. We were able to get a win tonight, puts us at 2-2.

After becoming the highest-paid quarterback in the league’s history, Prescott wants to live up to those standards. He is starting by leading the locker room in the right direction by trusting the process and remaining focused on their ultimate goal.

Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb dismiss rift with 55-yard touchdown connection

On Thursday, the Cowboys not only marked their seventh consecutive winning streak against the Giants, but the narrative of Prescott and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb having a rift was also dismissed. By connecting with him, the signal-caller threw a 55-yard touchdown pass, resulting in a remarkable feat.

We got to change the narrative. That’s what this game did, especially over a long weekend. It puts us at 2-and-2. It allows us a couple of days to get our mind right, to get our body right.

Beside Lamb, Prescott also connected with running back Rico Dowdle for a touchdown on a 15-yard screen pass in the first quarter. The Pro Bowler completed the game by finishing 22 out of his 27 passes for 221 yards and two touchdowns.
