Sometimes, they have to work through sickness and health, commentating on fights. This is the recent case with Daniel Cormier commentating at UFC Vegas 91. He hilariously compared himself to Michael Jordan and the flu game.
Daniel Cormier was recently down with a sickness. However, he didn’t take the time off and worked on the commentary team for UFC Vegas 91. Cormier hilariously pointed out his comparison to the NBA legend Michael Jordan while the main event was underway.

The comparison to Michael Jordan stemmed from the fact that Jordan played a game while he was having the flu as well as food poisoning. This famous game was played between the Chicago Bulls and Utah Jazz. The Bulls went on to win the NBA finals in the sixth game. This particular game was then known as the ‘Flu Game.’
Cormier has remained one of the most regular commentators in the UFC. Joe Rogan only joins for PPV events in the US. Meanwhile, Jon Anik is a regular for PPVs and Fight Night cards. However, Cormier will join up for PPVs, Fight Nights and Apex Events as well.

The runner-up spot goes to the lightweight championship clash between Islam Makhachev and Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 284. Cormier hailed it as a clash between the two best pound-for-pound fighters. Volkanovski earned an immediate rematch due to the fight’s competitiveness.
However, the fight that truly captured Cormier’s imagination was the UFC 286 war between Justin Gaethje and Rafael Fiziev. He marveled at Gaethje’s ability to thrive in chaos and adversity. Cormier described the bout as “amazing” and one that had fight fans on their feet from start to finish.
