In the midst of the preparation for next week’s match against the Arizona Cardinals, Davante Adams appears to be spending his leisure time enjoying other sports. While watching an NBA match on Monday, he was awestruck by Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant‘s incredible feat.

Last Sunday, the Grizzlies faced up against the Brooklyn Nets, and the game continues to linger in everyone’s minds. The point guard Morant, who returned after a season-ending shoulder injury from last campaign, pulled off twin scintillating 360 layups which overshadowed their opponents’ close victory.

One of those mesmerized eyes was Adams, as the three-time All-Pro made a bold statement in praise of Morant during his interview with the Up & Adams show. Acknowledging that much of the Grizzles’ success this season can be attributed to Morant, Adams applauded his athleticism, particularly his impressive layups.

I’ve never seen anything like that in my entire life. I don’t want to make rash and unthought-out claims, but I think he might be the most athletic person in the world. There might be somebody in Africa who could be more athletic, but like a professional athlete, he’s the most athletic professional athlete in the world.

This was Morant’s fourth outing of 20+ points, regardless of the loss. The Grizzles are next up against LeBron James’ Los Angeles Lakers.

Meanwhile, the six-time Pro Bowler is coming off a solid victory in Week 9 against the Houston Texans. This not only marked his first victory with the New York Jets, but also ended their five-game losing streak. During an interview with Kay Adams, Davante also opened up about the locker room scene after the much-needed victory.

It’s real similar to, I think it was 2016, run the table type. Just that type of energy

The veteran wide receiver was referencing the 2016 season with Rodgers in Green Bay Packers when they started the season at 4-5, but then went on to score a six-game winning streak. After scoring this victory, the Green Gang is hoping to go forward with the same approach and become a “dangerous team” as it’s their only chance to secure a playoff berth this season.
