Two of the football’s most popular club owners, David Beckham and Tom Brady celebrated in the stands, as Birmingham City earned a 3-1 victory over rival Wrexham, in the EFL League One. Birmingham City, following the win, climbed to the second position on the league table.
Birmingham are currently on top of the EFL League One table, thanks to a brilliant brace from new signing Jay Stansfield. Despite the visitors taking an early lead in 3rd minute, the home side came from behind to register a comeback win. 21-year-old Stansfield, who joined from Fulham this summer, scored twice, in the 22nd and the 52nd minute. Tomoki Iwata, later sealed the win with a goal in the 59th minute of the match.
What caught everyone’s attention was the presence of two sporting greats, Birmingham’s minority owner and ex-NFL star Tom Brady and England legend David Beckham. The duo enjoyed the match from the stands, jumping out in celebration at full-time. A victory was much needed for Brady’s side to reach level on points with Wrexham, owned by Hollywood duo Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. The two superstar-owned clubs are now among the front-runners to win the league title.

Wrexham star Paul Mullin attempts to bite Birmingham City player during EFL League One clash
Wrexham forward Paul Mullin amazed fans after he attempted to bite an opponent during the club’s 3-1 defeat to Birmingham City. The 29-year-old English forward failed to find the back of the net for his side, as they suffered a humiliating defeat, in a major setback to their title chase.
Mullin was close to recreating a ‘Luis Suarez‘ moment in the second half, as he attempted to bite Birmingham star Alec Cochrane‘s leg, after a clash. He shockingly grabbed on to the defender’s calf and looked ready to pounce upon it, but refrained from doing it. It could have earned him a potential red card and further suspension.
I know what it looks like.. but it didn’t happen. Although you can tell his leg was thinking about attacking my mouth. https://t.co/McxyQZ7rzI

The 29-year-old forward, however, on social media, later denied attempting to bite Cochrane, stating that the defender’s leg was rather attacking his mouth. Wrexham owner Ryan Reynolds also backed the player after the incident.
