Whenever a topic regarding some of baseball’s greatest captains arises, the name of Derek Jeter is always there. The former shortstop spent his entire career playing at the Bronx for the New York Yankees. For his incredible career, Jeter was introduced to the MLB Hall of Fame in 2020.

The 14x All-Star and 5x World Series winner is one of the members of the 3,000 hit club. To celebrate this occasion, HBO decided to release a documentary. The documentary, ”Derek Jeter 3K” features the career of Jeter and interviews of his various partners including his wife Hannah Davis.

Jeter’s personal life has been similar to the life of his former teammate and friend Alex Rodriguez. Jeter was a frequent point of discussion in newspapers and celebrity magazines. His relationship with singer-songwriter Mariah Carey was no secret.

In his dating life, Jeter saw off model Vida Guerra, singer Joy Enriquez, former Miss Universe Lara Dutta, and Minka Kelly to name a few. He started dating Hannah in 2012 and the couple got married in 2016. A moment in the documentary that brings fans joy is the interview of Hannah.

She claimed that when she met him, she knew absolutely nothing about his status as an MLB player. When asked about this, Jeter reiterated that she was lying and that she had posters of him on her wall while she was in high school. Davis at that time was a swimsuit model for Sports Illustrated.

The love story of Derek Jeter and Hannah Davis

The pair met each other through a mutual friendship in 2012. The love between them has continued to blossom since. After three years of seeing each other, the couple got engaged in 2015. A year later Hannah would walk down the aisle and get married to him. Since then the couple have welcomed three children in their lives.

The couple met at a restaurant in New York. It was the perfect time to meet Derek Jeter as the meeting took place in the off-season. It was in August that year when they were publicly spotted together for the first time.

In 2014, Jeter was off to a book signing in Las Vegas along with a few friends. Fans soon started to assume that Jeter was there to celebrate his bachelorette. A year before this, Hannah was spotted wearing what appeared to be an engagement ring which started these speculations.

The couple were seen attending the Met Gala together in 2015 confirming their status. In July 2016, the couple tied the knot. The duo has since given birth to three daughters, Bella Raine, Story Grey, and River Rose. They welcomed a son last year by the name of Kaius Green Jeter.

After retiring from professional baseball, Jeter served as the CEO of MLB’s Miami Marlins from 2017 to 2022. For his outstanding performances as a Yankee player, the team retired his number 2 jersey. While 33 players have been a part of the exclusive 3,000-hit club, Jeter is only the third player alongside Wade Boggs and Alex Rodriguez to slam a home-run as their 3,000th hit.
