On the latest episode of SmackDown, the new Bloodline under Solo Sikoa‘s leadership continued to assert their dominance. During the show, The Enforcer had an interesting backstage conversation with Paul Heyman. The latter, since WrestleMania, has been adamant on being unaware of what has transpired in the faction. Therefore, this has led fans to speculate that The Rock is the one pulling the strings amid Roman Reigns‘ hiatus.

In the aforementioned segment on Smackdown, Heyman confirmed that The Tribal Chief would go after Cody Rhodes upon his return. However, Sikoa told the Wiseman that they were already keeping the Undisputed WWE Champion “in check.” As such, a confused Heyman asked who ‘they’ referred to. Before the Tribal Heir could say anything, Kevin Owens‘ theme music hit which abruptly ended the conversation.

This backstage interaction certainly raised some eyebrows in the WWE Universe. The general consensus among fans on social media was that Solo Sikoa was referring to The Final Boss. Many believe that despite his absence, Rocky is finding ways to replace Roman Reigns as The Tribal Chief. And the newly formed Bloodline might be directly taking orders from the Brahma Bull.

In his last appearance on WWE television, the Black Adam star told Rhodes that he would be coming after him once he returned. Furthermore, it needs to be noted that Reigns hasn’t spoken to Paul Heyman since his loss at WrestleMania. Hence, it would be imprudent to rule out the possibility of the Great One taking advantage of the situation.

When will The Rock return to WWE?

Without a doubt, The Rock turning heel in 2024 wasn’t on many fans’ bingo cards. However, it happened to the delight of the WWE Universe. After a successful run, the wrestler-turned-actor announced that he would be leaving to fulfill his Hollywood commitments. However, he promised to come back in time for next year’s WrestleMania.

At the moment, there is no exact return date lined up for The Brahma Bull’s return. The 52-year-old is currently busy shooting for his upcoming role as Matt Kerr in ‘The Smashing Machine’. Rumors online suggested that Rocky would be done filming for it by August.

Hence, this sparked speculation in the wrestling community that he would be returning in time for SummerSlam. Despite that, these rumors were thwarted online. Having said that, it looks as if The Rock won’t be appearing until the end of the year.
