Dillon Brooks is coming off his best offensive season in terms of his individual numbers. The Phoenix Suns acquired Brooks after trading away Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets.

Many predicted the Suns to be a lottery team last season. But they turned out to be one of the biggest surprises of the 2025-26 regular season. With Brooks establishing himself as the leader of the team, they finished in seventh place in a highly competitive Western Conference standings and beat the Golden State Warriors in the Play-In Tournament to book a spot in the playoffs.

While their season came to an end in the first round, Brooks seems to be enjoying his summer after a strong campaign. The Suns forward made an appearance on popular N3on‘s live stream. The YouTuber asked Brooks which NBA player he would fight in a boxing match. Brooks answered:

Jimmy Butler. For me, it is all about basketball for sure. But, I feel like some things went to far. I always feel the animosity.

It has been a while since Jimmy Butler was last seen on an NBA court. He tore his ACL back in January and is undergoing a long recovery process at the moment. He is expected to return at the beginning of next year.

Butler and Brooks had a few heated exchanges during the playoffs last year when the latter was playing for the Rockets. While Butler came out on top, it looks like some of the words exchanged between them stayed with Brooks. Brooks did get some revenge after beating the Warriors in the Play-In Tournament, but unfortunately for him, Butler was already ruled out for the season.

Dillon Brooks gives his take on Lakers’ roster after losing LeBron James

Everyone in the NBA world is well aware of the relationship between Brooks and LeBron James. The two have had multiple exchanges over the past few seasons. He even had to confess that he does not hate the 41-year-old in a live stream a couple of months ago.

With James leaving the Los Angeles Lakers after eight years, N3on asked Brooks if the Lakers got better or worse after losing the King.

The Lakers are sweet. They are so sweet. If Luka doesn’t average 40….*laughs*. They have Reaves, Kessler and that dude from that Raptors.

While Brooks did not clearly say if they have gotten better or worse, it appears that he is not very impressed with the Lakers’ squad. However, he does believe that Luka Doncic can now average 40 points per game. With no James by his side, Doncic will see even more of the ball heading into next season.

James did surprise everyone by joining the Philadelphia 76ers in the summer. He will be joining the likes of Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, and Jaylen Brown in Philly. Many believe that the 76ers have the most dominant starting five in the league as of today.

Dillon Brooks was asked about his thoughts on James’ move to Philly.

I think he’s doing everything he can to get a last little ring… They got a squad. They definitely got a squad.

The 76ers may have one of the strongest teams on paper, but the 30-year-old went on to say that the Suns would beat them if they met in the playoffs next year. Considering the two teams are not in the same conference, the only round they can face each other would be in the NBA Finals.
