Tyler Herro was drafted by the Miami Heat as the 13th pick in the 2019 NBA draft. He made a mark in his rookie season with the Heat after he impressed everyone from the bench during their run to the NBA Finals.
In the last two seasons in Miami, Herro and Bam Adebayo became the leaders of the team after the departure of Jimmy Butler to the Golden State Warriors at the trade deadline last year. The two seemed to gel well together both on and off the court until a recent scuffle.
Herro and Adebayo were involved in a physical altercation that grabbed the headlines a few weeks ago in Las Vegas. The former Heat guard shared a couple of pictures of himself in boxing gloves. It looks like he has been training in boxing during the offseason.

On July 10, NBA insider Shams Charania reported that Bam Adebayo and Herro got into a fight in a hotel in Las Vegas during NBA Summer League. It was revealed that some messages were leaked from Herro’s alternate Instagram account. While Herro did not mention Adebayo directly, he did question his value against big teams and mocked his contract value, which did not go down well with the Heat center.
It was the first time an altercation had been reported between the two former teammates. The altercation took place just two weeks after Herro was included in a trade package for Giannis Antetokounmpo from the Milwaukee Bucks. It was a bitter ending to Herro’s time in Miami, but he revealed that he has no hard feelings towards the franchise and appreciated his seven years there.
Fans go wild as Tyler Herro drops intense boxing pictures after Bam Adebayo incident
The main reason Herro’s boxing pictures went viral was his altercation with Adebayo. When asked about the incident, Herro made no comments and ignored the question.
The viral pictures posted by the Bucks guard caught NBA fans buzzing across social media.

Fans found the timing of the pictures posted to be hilarious and joked that Adebayo’s punch left a mark on him. The likes of Patrick Beverley criticized Herro for not fighting back after getting punched. However, it was later known that Herro has apparently trained in boxing in the past, and it has nothing to do with the recent fight.
Tyler Herro will have a bigger role in Milwaukee
Tyler Herro will have a much bigger offensive role in Milwaukee heading into next season. Last season, he averaged 20.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.1 assists in just 33 appearances as he was riddled with injuries.

The Heat finished in the 10th spot of the Eastern Conference standings with a 43-39 record and missed the playoffs after losing to the Charlotte Hornets in the first game of the Play-In Tournament. After two subpar seasons, the Heat needed to make some big moves, and unfortunately, Herro was traded away.
The Bucks are at the very beginning of their rebuild after parting ways with their franchise player in Antetokounmpo. They will rely on Herro to take up the scoring burden. Hence, he stands a good chance of being named an All-Star for the second time in his career.
Herro is the face of the change for the Bucks. They are not expected to be playoff contenders next year, but Herro has a good chance to boost his value so he can be traded to a contending team in the future. A crucial season awaits the 26-year-old.
